Today at Jellyfish HQ we are very excited to announce the news of two promotions, strengthening our Leadership Team. Following a period of rapid growth, Matthew Bristowe has been promoted to Managing Director from his former role as Director of Operations. Taking over Bristowe’s previous role and promoted from HR Director is Sarah Tanner, Director of Operations.
Supporting them in their roles are two new hires, industry veteran, Martin Weaver joins as Head of Infrastructure and Eva Kilikitas joins as HR Manager.
Joining Jellyfish in 2019, Matthew threw himself into his role of Director of Operations, following two hefty decades in the VFX industry, including senior roles at MPC, DNEG, Technicolor and One of Us. His new role sees him take over the day-to-day management of the company as well as growing revenue across Jellyfish’s VFX, Art Department and feature animation businesses.
Since joining the company in 2017, as HR Director Sarah has led Jellyfish’s HR and talent strategy, seeing the company double in size. Instrumental in our global expansion, the opening of new studios and keeping us all safe with our move to remote work during COVID, Sarah’s new role recognises these duties in an official capacity. Sarah will now oversee all operations and resources, in addition to her HR duties.
Matthew and Sarah live and breath Jellyfish’s values. Their passion for the company and our people, teamed with experience, perfectly position them to lead the company, along with CEO and Founder, Phil Dobree to our next stage of growth.
Joining Jellyfish’s tech department is Martin Weaver, filling the role of Head of Infrastructure. Martin will report to CTO, Jeremy Smith, working closely with Sarah in her new role. Martin boasts a whopping 30 years of industry experience, having held senior positions at MPC, ILM and Technicolor. Martin’s role is key to achieving Jellyfish’s growing global reach as we continue to push technological boundaries in the industry.
Eva joins as HR Manager, fulfilling Sarah’s day-to-day HR duties. With over 10 years of HR experience from the public and private sector, Eva will play an important role in hunting down the crème de la crème of animation global talent, whilst ensuring our values and culture remain united across the globe.
