We didn’t think it could get any better for us after being nominated for Broadcast Tech Innovation Awards last week, but it did! It was announced today that our work on PBS’s Neanderthal and The Amazing Human Body have been shortlisted for a News & Doc Emmy.
We are always immensely proud of our projects at Jellyfish Pictures, and it is a great achievement for our team to get recognition for the amount of hard work and dedication they give to all projects. Both projects fall into the category for Outstanding Graphic Design and Art Direction. We went to great lengths to create Ned, the most scientifically accurate CGI Neanderthal ever created. With The Amazing Human Body, our team spent four months tasked with over 50 VFX shots to create an artistic and scientific approach to exploring inside the human body.
The News & Documentary Emmy Awards are an annual event held by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Held to recognise the excellence in American national news and documentary programming. This year’s award ceremony is extra special as it marks the 40th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards, and we are delighted to be a part of it. The award ceremony will be on Tuesday, September 24th, 2019 at the Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City. The prestigious event has over 1,000 television and news media industry attendance. A few lucky Jellyfish Pictures staff will be flying over to the Big Apple to represent us and cheer for those who win big! Good luck!
